Everest Base Camp Nepal Fundraiser - The Tibetan Community UK (North) Association are going to Nepal to take on one of the great mountain challenges in the world, to trek to the Base Camp of Everest, the highest mountain on the planet. For this adventure The Tibetan Community have teamed up with The Walking and Climbing Company - experts in Himalayan mountain trekking and climbing.

Gokyo Lakes - Having arrived in Kathmandu there is time to relax, sight see and shop! There is much to see and do in the fascinating city of Kathmandu. Then a short flight takes you to the village of Lukla over breath taking views of the mountains of Nepal. The trek then takes a couple of days to reach Namche Bazaar the busy market village where the Sherpas of Nepal come from and time is spent here acclimatising. The trek moves on to reach Gokyo where there are series of beautiful holy lakes. The tranquillity of the place is wonderful and the views particularly at sunset are quite superb. To see the fifth lake at Henjo/Renjo La (5417m) is a demanding walk, however, the scenery when you get there makes it very well worth the effort. There is an optional walk up to Gokyo Ri which is well worth doing for the breathtaking scenery. From here four of the fourteen 8000 metre mountains in the world can be seen - Everest, Lhotse Cho Oyu and Makalu.
Everest Monastery Walk - A gentle walk at a relaxed pace in the Everest region of Nepal. There's a chance to visit numerous monasteries as well as see some of the most spectacular peaks the Himalayan mountain region has to offer.
Helambu Walk - A moderate, low altitude walk, suitable for beginners, which includes the Shivapuri watershed and wildlife reserve, together with wonderful mountain views.
Mani Rimdu/Everest and Kalapathar - A trek which reaches Tengboche in time for the Mani Rimdu festival, providing a chance to sample Buddhist culture in awesome surroundings, including views of Everest and the Khumbu ice fall along the way.
