MONEY 

It is recommended that visitors to Nepal / Bhutan /Tibet travel with Currency Cards, Travellers Cheques, Sterling, Euros or American dollars.

All can be exchanged in the airport, city or hotel in Kathmandu / Paro / Lhasa for local currency. We can assist you with this if required.

Local currency is favoured by the people working and living in the mountains. These are:

Nepal - Nepalese Rupees and American dollars 

Bhutan - Ngultrum or Indian Rupees 

Tibet - Chinese Yuan

In some of the mountain areas it is not possible to exchange money once out of the city.
