We are thrilled to offer this unique Gold Award Trek to Everest Base Camp. Yes, it's a trek not a climb! Anyone with a good level of fitness and a passion for a challenge can participate in this famous trekking route to see the highest mountain in the world.
The Walking and Climbing Company is an AAP and specialist operator of Duke of Edinburgh's Award Expeditions.
Are you are interested in travelling, want to do something amazing and want to stand out from the crowd? Why not experience breath taking scenery and have a unique cultural experience while completing your Duke of Edinburgh's Award Gold Expedition / Adventurous Journey?
Participants camp, cook for themselves and carry their own equipment. They are required to work as a team, take care of others and utilise the skills learned in their training and practice for this trip.
The Open Award is available to all those undertaking their Duke of Edinburgh's Gold Award. This is a perfect opportunity to be assessed, experience a different country, a different culture and meet fellow participants. The practice expedition, for those who need it, is included.
