Mera Peak

Mera Peak is considered the highest trekking peak in Nepal.

Mera Peak stands over 6,400metres high with a truly spectacular panoramic view. From the summit, 5 of the 6 highest mountains in the world tower above the skyline. You will see a range of famous Himalayan peaks such as Everest, Lhotse, Cho Oyu, Makalu and Kangchenjunga - a spectacle of rare magnificence.

Trekking from Nepal to Mera Peak is excellent for people seeking a challenging summit with moderate climbing experience. The first people to climb Mera Central were British Army officer Jim Roberts and his Sherpa Sen Tenzing during a reconnaissance of the Hinku and Hongu valleys in 1953. Interestingly, the route closely follows their original climb.

The challenge of climbing Mera Peak trek attracts many because of its height, coupled with the fact that it does not require technical expertise. However, the height and altitude of this mountain makes it a demanding climb, so a very good level of fitness is required.

If you are looking for a challenge, and the chance to experience serenity within the truly stunning Himalayan mountain range, then Mera Peak is the trip for you! This trek is immensely rewarding and a tremendous experience, right in the heart of the Everest (Khumbu) region of Nepal.
