Formerly a royal hunting reserve, the park covers nearly 400 square miles, bordering India in the south and is home to nearly 60 Bengal Tigers.

The best time of the year to visit the park is between March and May and accommodation includes first class tourist lodges. Organised activities include ‘elephant back’ excursions, nature walks, canoe trips and jungle treks.
