Additional Information

The Cho Oyu Expedition (8,201m), climbing the sixth highest mountain in the world, starts from Kathmandu, Nepal where we organise Tibet visas. From here, the group will travel to into Tibet by road. Time will be spent acclimatising before travelling to the Base Camp.

The actual climbing period totals around 28 days from Base Camp. There will be several camps made above Base Camp, as well as 'high camp', all of which will be stocked by Sherpa guides. This is one of the most straightforward peaks of its size and is an excellent 'first 8000 meter peak' for climbers. The climb is relatively uncomplicated however, it is a challenging and demanding undertaking, not to be under-estimated.

The expedition will be co-ordinated and staffed with a team of top class high altitude Sherpas to assist the group as necessary. All climbers who attempt this Cho Oyu Expedition need an excellent level of fitness and suitable previous mountaineering experience.
