Additional Information
Climbing Lhakpa Ri (7,045m) gives you the opportunity to summit a 7,000 metre peak without needing technical experience. This peak is a relatively straight forward climb despite its height, summiting this mountain is an attainable goal for anyone with a very good level of fitness and previous experience in altitude.
The trip starts in Kathmandu, Nepal where we organise visas before travelling to Tibet. Time is spent acclimatising along the journey in to the mountain and at base camp.
Lhakpa Ri is opposite Everest's North Face and divides the East Rongbuk and Kharta glaciers. The second camp made on the mountain is beneath the North Col and from the summit you will have tremendous views of Cho Oyu, Shishapangma, Lhotse as well as Everest.
The climb is supported by a team of top class climbing Sherpas for your safety, and to give you every chance of reaching the summit of this beautiful mountain.
At the end of the trip there is some time to visit Lhasa, the capital of Tibet and the original heart of Buddhist culture; here visits include Potala Palace, the Dalai Lama's summer palace and the Bakhor market. You will then fly back to Kathmandu and then to your home country.
